Essential functions & responsibilities****Resident Meal Service*** Creates a warm, positive dining atmosphere through excellent customer service.* Presents menus to residents, explains daily meal options, and provides suggestions as needed.* Answers questions about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.* Records food orders accurately and relays them to the kitchen.* Delivers meals and beverages promptly, ensuring appropriate temperatures are maintained.* Observes residents to identify and fulfill additional needs or requests.* Assists residents with salad and breakfast bar selections and delivers trays as necessary.**Dining Room Operations*** Clears, cleans, and resets tables efficiently for upcoming meal services.* Supports daily dining room setup, including coffee brewing, dessert portioning, and soup or salad bar preparation.* Follows established food service policies and infection control procedures.* Always maintains safe and sanitary work areas.**Other Job Responsibilities*** Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to
and strategic goals* Other duties as assigned**What you need to succeed:*** At least 18 years of age.* Previous server experience highly preferred.* 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.* Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems* Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.* Must possess or obtain valid First Aid certification within 30 days of hire, as required by Title 22.* Must obtain a valid California Food Handler Card (or ServSafe equivalent) within 30 days of hire and maintain compliance with food safety regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
