Responsibilities

Be the Customer Champion: Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team‑based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.

Drive Sales Success: Sell to customers, increase case growth, and acquire new business through impactful presentations and tailored approaches. Effective time and territory management is critical.

Team Based Selling: Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings. Also work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service for seamless delivery.

Lead with Insight: Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, existing client leads, organizations, clubs, trade shows and conferences.

Delivery Resolution: Manage deliveries to the routing schedule, troubleshoot issues during the order process (e.g., mis‑picks, short loads, stock‑outs).

Competitive Advantage: Understand market conditions, product innovations, competitors, and share info with customers as part of value‑added services.

Stay on the Move: Drive personal vehicle for regular check‑ins, site visits and follow‑ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

Supervision No direct reports.

Work Environment Daily outside the office in your assigned territory, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

1+ year of sales experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license and a good motor vehicle record required.

Experience in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management or hospitality preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.

Problem‑solving, organization and negotiation skills.

Team‑up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Tech savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools such as Salesforce a plus.

Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $50,000 – $90,000.
