JPC Partners is looking for a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator / Developer that will maintain and enhance SQL-based infrastructure, support web-based tools, and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and optimize existing SQL Server-based software solutions Tune queries, indexes, and stored procedures for peak performance Enhance web-based tools through backend programming and UI improvements Monitor database health using SQL Profiler and related tools Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies Collaborate with third-party DevOps and development teams to support CI/CD pipelines Ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols Participate in capacity planning and system upgrades Provide documentation and support for internal processes Engage directly with customers to support data-driven solutions Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or Developer Strong proficiency in SQL/T-SQL (2000–2022) Ability to build and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, and jobs Strong troubleshooting skills for SQL performance and process issues Experience with SSIS and SSRS Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure SQL or AWS RDS) is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, Azure DBA) preferred Passion for data, problem-solving, and continuous improvement Self-motivated, collaborative, and customer-focused mindset
