Mechanical Engineer (PFO00068R)
Job Description The Mechanical Engineer provides strong mechanical background. Ideal candidate will have experience writing proposals, change orders, interpreting building codes, etc. Acts as primary interface between design engineers, field personnel, and the client to ensure proper project execution of the Spent Fuel Handling Project.
The work location is a construction project site approximately 55 miles from Idaho Falls near the Naval Reactors Facility at Idaho National Lab, with some days in the Idaho Falls office.
Responsibilities Act as primary interface between design engineers, field personnel, clients, subcontractors to ensure proper project execution.
Essential Functions Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting limited to 20 lbs. Longest distance carried 50 feet. Hand manipulation required for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation. Occasional needs: reach above shoulder, work below shoulder, travel, work near hazardous equipment and machinery, walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas, fumes, noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, potential work at heights.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
3 or more years of experience
USA citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
NQA-1 project experience
PE registration in Idaho or ability to obtain
HVAC experience
Person already residing in Southeast Idaho preferred
Travel No
