LARGE MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN MILWAUKEE WI IS LOOKING FOR A MULTI-CRAFT TECHNICIAN FOR THE FIRST SHIFT. LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS SHARP ELECTRICALLY (120V-480V), MECHANICALLY (PUMPS, VALVES, ETC.), HVAC (BOILERS AND REFRIGERATION), PLC TROUBLESHOOTING (ALLEN BRADLEY)
SHIFT: 1ST SHIFT 8AM-5PM (CAN BE FLEXIBLE FOR EARLIER START)
PAYS: $30-$40 HOURLY (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)
We are seeking a highly skilled
Multi-Craft Technician
to support our production and facility operations. This role requires strong electrical, mechanical, and HVAC capabilities, along with the ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, adaptable, and experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair
electrical systems (120V–480V)
including motors, circuits, control panels, sensors, switches, and drives.
Maintain and repair
HVAC systems , including refrigeration units, boilers, chillers, air handlers, and supporting components.
Experience with freeze-drying systems is a strong plus (no ammonia required).
Diagnose and repair
mechanical equipment
such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, and pneumatics.
Utilize schematics, manuals, and technical resources to identify and resolve equipment issues quickly.
Troubleshoot and support
Allen-Bradley PLCs , including input/output faults, device communication, and basic logic flow.
Perform equipment changeovers, calibrations, and system adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders.
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and site compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
Electrical maintenance experience (120V–480V) .
HVAC experience : refrigeration, boilers, chillers, environmental systems; freeze-drying a plus.
Mechanical knowledge : pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot
Allen-Bradley PLC-controlled systems
(no programming required; troubleshooting only).
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and equipment reliability concepts.
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
Hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment.
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
