Professional Services Consultant - West Coast
Lancope islooking for a highly technical, customer oriented services consultant who has proven experience in implementing complex solutions for enterprise customers. The role is to serve as the customer’s StealthWatch (SW) subject matter expert for implementation, fine-tuning, and 3 rd party technology integration for projects that may range from days to many months. The successful candidate will have extensive network and security experience and be able to work with the customer’s technical staff as well as communicate with higher-level management. Main Responsibilities Serve as the SW subject matter expert on short term engagements for Lancope’s customer base Work with customer network and security operations on SW network design and installation Analyze current installation and recommend implementation and fine-tuning details to increase SW effectiveness Communicate with customer engineering and management on project details and progress Partner with sales team to enhance sales opportunities in customer accounts Desired Experience and Skills 6+ years of experience in a services or sales engineering role ata data network vendor, DPI equipment vendor, security vendor, service provider or network security company. 6+ years of related technical experience, installing, designing, managing, administering and supporting an enterprise network. Proven track record working directly with enterprise customers to implement complex technical solutions Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, Load balancers, proxies and firewalls. Strong understanding of network security including, DDoS, Firewall, IDS, IPS, anti-virus and common exploits. Solid understanding of IP network design/operation. Experience in writing code, scripts, and/or parsers for 3 rd party technology integration would be a plus Excellent Presentation, written, and verbal skills. Ability to travel 50 - 75% of time.
