This positionis responsible fortroubleshooting the company's equipment and making repairsin a timely mannerto ensure minimal production downtime. This includes repairing equipment parts, performing equipmentretrofitsand modifications.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for installing,replacingand/or changing machine parts as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment per the PreventativeMaintenance (PM)schedule.
Keepaccurateand detailed records and PM schedules.
Quickly troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize machine downtime.
Performs tolerance checks andmakes adjustments toensure machine conformance to part quality requirements.
Observes mechanical operation of all equipment todeterminemachine conformance.
Responsible forpurchasingparts and parts management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Mustpossessa valid Driver's License and havea good drivingrecord.
Must be fluent in safety procedures to include all things related to maintenance and repair of production machinery and ensure equipment guarding compliance.
Must have knowledge and ability to perform all aspects of LOTO requirements to meet state and federal standards.
Workingknowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder operation and the ability to rebuild them isrequired.
Experience with VFD’s andPLC’s.
Mustpossessunderstanding and knowledge of low voltage DC circuits, 110 through 480 Volt AC single and threephase.
Ability tooperateall production-related machinery to include electric scissor lift, electric pallet jack,forkliftand overhead crane.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, equipmentmanualsand work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Must be well organized and be able to self-manage to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed.
Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
MIG welding experience is a plus.
Education and Experience
Musthave a High School Diploma or equivalent. AnAssociate's Degreeis preferred.
Minimum of3-5years experienceas a successful millwright or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
