Work on applied innovation projects for AI products, to identify, access, explore new business opportunities either by demonstrating and presenting the performance of existing AI products, or suggest and organize modification of existing AI products to close the gaps with customer and market demand, or if needed and if business case is justifiable, propose new ideas for new AI product development to fulfill the unmet needs and enhance AI portfolio. Support global commercial teams and promotions by acting as formulation expert leader for the PL, supporting inquiries, and supporting solutions creation for customers.Responsibilities* Provide technical support to the Sales System team for customer inquiries, projects, and events.* Support the AI PL team, especially on formulation-related topics.* Translate innovation outcomes into technical value propositions for the business and customers.* Collaborate with the team to grow the AI business across the market.* Act as the lead formulator/formulation expert for the AI team.* Prepare formulations for global marketing concepts, customer events, and other needs.* Contribute to advancing AI projects in the pipeline.* Identify opportunities for new project initiation aligned with AI PL strategy.* Support new data generation, portfolio adaptation, new product development, or evaluation of new technologies for the AI portfolio.* Utilize internal and external resources to establish or improve research methodologies.* Expand technical capabilities to better support project needs and business objectives.* Conduct literature research, patent monitoring, and track technological advancements relevant to the AI PL space.* Generate new ideas, project directions, or identify new capabilities and methods for AI use.* Support competitive intelligence activities.Requirements* Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, BioPharma, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or related fields (or equivalent experience).* Interest in learning across multiple disciplines, such as surfactant chemistry, natural technologies, synthetic biology, microbiome research, and skin biology.* Around 2 years of experience in the cosmetic industry is preferred, with enthusiasm to grow within the field.* Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and intellectual property protection frameworks is desirable.* Willingness to work in a lab environment and follow lab safety protocols.* Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects is a plus.* Strong technical presentation, writing, and communication skills are valued.* Knowledge of statistics or consumer science is a good-to-have.* Collaborative, team-oriented, and easygoing personality to support cross-functional work and partnerships with external collaborators.The Evonik Group adopts an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) approach.
