Base Pay Range $25.65/hr – $25.65/hr
About the Role As the
Behavior Intervention Specialist , you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
Providing behavioral services which include assessment, evaluation, consultation, intervention, development of behavioral management plans, service plans and goals, and treatment services, as required by regulation and/or the needs of the individual being served.
Providing education and training in areas pertinent to behavioral, psychological, and associated services.
Developing and implementing a treatment plan based on the findings of the evaluations and recommendations of the care manager, advocate, and the individual served (i.e., design of an appropriate behavioral plan).
Schedule Full-time (flexibility with hours required)
Qualifications
Master’s degree in behavior analysis or a field closely related to clinical or community psychology that is approved by OPWDD or a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, applied psychology as it relates to human development and clinical intervention, or a related human services field.
National board certification in behavioral analysis (BCBA) or NYS License in Mental Health Counseling and have or will obtain OPWDD-approved specialized training or experience in functional assessment techniques and behavior support plan development.
Minimum 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans; and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.
Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
