The Auto Club Group is seeking a
Homeowners Claims Representative II
who will handle moderately complex claims within Claim Handling Standards, resolving coverage questions, taking statements, and establishing evaluation and resolution plans for claims. Responsibilities include reviewing claims, contacting affected parties, documenting claims, conducting coverage analysis, investigating facts, evaluating damages, and approving payments. Field roles may require damage estimates and monitoring repair status. II. Required Qualifications: Complete ACG Claim Representative Training Program or equivalent knowledge Eligible to acquire a State Adjuster’s license within 90 days (if required) Valid State Driver's License Experience of at least one year in negotiating claim settlements, evaluating evidence, preparing estimates, subrogation, resolving coverage questions, and taking statements. Knowledge and Skills: Insurance laws (Michigan) Claims procedures and subrogation Building construction techniques Ability to: Handle claims per standards Follow policies and procedures Use claim systems and basic PC software Communicate effectively Build customer relationships Analyze problems and make decisions Prioritize and organize workload Operate a motor vehicle for inspections and visits Research subrogation laws Travel and work flexible hours III. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent experience Xactimate software experience Claims adjuster experience in home/property claims Customer service and call center experience IV. Work Environment: Hybrid work arrangement, with some in-office presence required for meetings and team activities. The salary range is $57,000 - $72,000 annually, with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits including 401k match, medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and tuition reimbursement.
