Mortgage Field Services Inspector
Location: Reno, NV (county level). FAR INSPECTIONS is a leading company in residential occupancy verifications for mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn predictable income with a flexible schedule.
Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required. Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and drive long hours is essential.

What is an Occupancy Verification? The purpose is to verify property occupancy and report on the general condition using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after vacancy.
Responsibilities
Completing inspections within 4 days after assignment.
Reporting general property conditions and determining occupancy based on industry standards.
Taking 9+ photos with brief comments.
Completing a short form in an app.
Driving extended periods with multiple stops in the assigned territory.
Requirements
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle (good mileage, you pay for gas).
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume. Earning potential is roughly $30‑$40 per hour.
Typical workload: 20–500 inspections/month, 2–30 hours/week, depending on county volume and rural/urban status. No set minimum; work is consistent month‑to‑month.
More experience and broader territory increase earnings.
No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection.
