is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join our growing team.
About This Role The Inside Sales Engineer will be responsible for estimating building automation projects and providing sales support. This position may also train toward a transition to an outside sales role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide accurate estimates to minimize risk while maintaining low cost
Track quantity and dollar volume of estimates
Meet project deadlines
Assist sales team with estimates, walk‑throughs and field surveys
Create a scope letter for each project
Review specification and control schematics
Provide clear documentation on estimates and proposals
Provide backup support for quotes and deviations from specifications
Assist sales team in bid process
Respond and communicate to interdepartmental requests in a timely manner
Utilize applicable sales tools effectively (CRM, estimating software, etc.)
Collaborate with internal staff to deliver quality results
Train to develop sales skills
Employ selling strategy, time management, and Automated Logic value proposition
Basic Qualifications
Associate’s degree with 2+ years of experience in the Building Automation industry OR a completed Bachelor’s degree in 2026
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business, Accounting
3+ years of experience in sales, building automation, HVAC, and/or controls
Capable of building strong relationships with customers and coworkers
Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and works to continuously improve
Strong skills in written and oral communication, analysis, organization and time management
Ability to handle basic financial and accounting issues
Experience with sales tools and software, such as a customer relationship management (CRM) and estimating software
Capability to perform in a fast‑paced and changing environment
Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers
