Riley Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Shift
This position will be a part-time day shift role working Monday‑Friday. Roles and Responsibilities
Provides therapeutic, recreational and leisure services to patients/clients, including development of individual treatment plans. Provides consultation to physicians and others regarding appropriateness of referral to recreational therapy. Documents patient/client programs and progress, educates the patient/client and others regarding recreational therapy programs. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient/client care, education and department operations. Acts as a resource or mentor and provides functional guidance to the team. Coordinates staff/patient scheduling, orientation and training. Ensures proper clinical documentation and monitors workload to ensure staff utilization. Preferred Skills

Requires certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or a Certified Activities Director (ADC). Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation preferred. Requires 1‑3 years of relevant experience. Requires strong knowledge of Recreation Therapy Standards of Care. EEO Statement
