Summary The Personal Lines Practice Leader for MSO is critical to the company’s ongoing success. You will be responsible for the leadership and execution of goals for all Personal Lines departments within MSO, reviewing product offerings, new business development, account retention, overall market knowledge, and strategic planning with M&A initiatives. This position will work closely with the COO, CSO, Commercial Lines Leader, and Employee Benefits Leader.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop, in conjunction with the President and CSO, a Personal Lines business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales, business retention and revenue goals in the region.
Accountable for regional Personal Lines growth as per budgets and objectives, and to address shortfalls and strategies to combat them with the President.
Promote interdepartmental resource sharing, identify opportunities for cross‑selling and capitalize on similar association marketing.
Work closely with the CSO and local area leaders to identify and close new business activity.
Manage insurance carrier access and support as needed, along with market relationship development to find new products and services for clients and prospects.
Engage in corporate resources.
Work with MSO ELT to identify possible agency acquisitions.
Build and foster a client‑centric cross‑sales environment that is focused on new business development, retention and relationship development.
Influence and support strategic planning initiatives, including producer and personnel development.
Develop internal resources/expertise to assist all producers in closing business.
Provide ongoing communication regarding priorities, progress toward goals and information needed to ensure success.
Assist in developing sales and marketing strategies, along with communications, to optimize HUB’s position in the marketplace.
Positively and proactively represent HUB in meetings, seminars, trade shows and networking events.
Requirements
At least 10–15 years of progressive Personal Lines insurance experience; majority must be within an agency, brokerage or consulting firm.
Demonstrated track record as a Managing Producer, Client Service/Account Executive or Team Leader in developing a consultative sales platform for sales and account management.
A consultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients and associates.
Strong visibility within the local and national insurance communities.
Highly developed organization and time‑management skills.
Willingness to travel between 25–50%.
Excellent listening skills.
Strong written and verbal communications.
Strong degree of self‑motivation.
Demonstrated ability to lead/motivate others.
Education, Licensing or Certification Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Currently licensed in good standing in required lines and states with all necessary CE credits.
Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC).
Department – Account Management & Service Required Experience: 7–10 years of relevant experience.
Required Travel: Up to 25%.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree (4‑year degree).
