Pay Range $16.00/hr – $27.00/hr (based on experience and education). For entry level candidates, your first raise is earned upon certification as

RBT , typically within 21 days.

Responsibilities

Apply ABA therapy principles to help children with autism reach their full potential, including reading treatment plans, implementing interventions, collecting data, writing insurance notes, and incorporating supervisor feedback.

Support early childhood development (18 months to 8 years) through engaging and fun therapeutic activities.

Collaborate with a team to optimize treatment, safety, and a positive work environment.

Engage children through play, movement, imitation, and other interactive activities, maintaining energy and enthusiasm.

Communicate effectively with peers, families, and supervisors to coordinate activities, celebrate successes, and advocate for needs.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, squat, and move quickly to stay engaged with young children while maintaining a tidy, safe environment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating therapy space.

Multitask to balance multiple priorities and ensure safety.

Assist teams by working cohesively across centers and possibly traveling to nearby centers.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Minimum 18 years of age and high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment: a 40-hour training curriculum, hands‑on competency assessment, exam registration, and passing the board’s exam.

Preferred Experience

Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor)

Mental health professionals and advocates (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)

Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers

Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields

Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants

Passion for working with children with autism spectrum disorder
