ACC Senior Services is an award-winning not-for-profit provider of culturally sensitive senior care and services in the Sacramento region. Based in the Greenhaven/Pocket neighborhood of Sacramento, and with over 50 years of experience, ACC offers a continuum of supportive services for older adults and their family caregivers. We provide older adults with the comforts of home and the care of family.
Salary: $18.00‑21.00/hr Start Date: 09/25/2025

General Summary The ACC Care Center Activity Assistant is responsible for the safe operation, transportation for outing destinations and joy rides, and the safe delivery of residents to and from assigned destinations. This is an hourly (non‑exempt) position that reports to the Activity Director.
Essential Job Duties
Assist the Activity Director in planning, organizing, and implementing various activity programs.
Meet residents’ needs and interests, per resident abilities and physical limitations.
Participate in residents’ Care Plans; document residents’ specific needs and activities attendance.
Set up and operate electronic equipment (e.g., microphones, keyboards, TV monitors, projection systems) and perform preventative maintenance.
Work with volunteer staff to ensure smooth operations of activity programs; push water cart and assist residents in wheelchairs.
Arrange resident outings and joy rides.
Walk 10‑12K steps per day on average.
Qualifications
High school diploma / GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in social services or a related field and/or one-year combined experience in skilled nursing or related health care field preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; bilingual preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Knowledge of medical terminology, health care facilities, geriatrics, and state and federal regulations including Title XXII and OBRA preferred.
Work schedule is Sunday‑Thursday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with exceptions; must adapt to a changing schedule, work holidays, some evenings, and weekends.
Licensed driver with a clean driving record and ability to drive company vehicles for outings.
Must pass a criminal background check and a pre‑placement physical exam.
