We are expanding our team and currently hiring additional Dog Walkers in the West St Louis County area SOUTH OF PAGE AND NORTH OF HWY 30. Candidates must live in that area to be considered due to the driving and variable schedule.
The position offered is part-time, hourly between 10am and 3pm Monday through Friday. You must have 2-3 consistent days available each week during those hours to be considered. Additional income opportunities are available.
Required Skills and Experience
Pet Care Experience - general knowledge of multiple species and a love of all is required.
Must have the ability to work with all breeds and sizes and a desire to learn more and impact the local animal rescue community.
Comfort with utilization of smart phones and computers
Must have at least 2 years recent experience in a demanding, detail-oriented position
A demonstrated eye for detail and a passion for completion
Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
Ability to safely lift 50 pounds and walk at a brisk pace for 30 min at a time.
Functional and reliable transportation
Have a newer smartphone (iOS 9 or newer and Android 4.1 or newer) and a home computer with internet access
Responsibilities
Providing care to animals (mainly dogs and cats) including walking, feeding and other tasks as needed.
Staying in communication with the central office
Providing client communications, education, and follow-up
Participates as a team member with company events/programs
We will not consider anyone for this position who is currently employed as a caregiver for another company, themselves or as an online service provider. Applicant should be over age 18 with high school diploma or equivalent, are non-smokers, and are able to clear a thorough background check.
