Position Summary

We are hiring for a Plant Operator to work in our Operations department. This position reports to a Lead Plant Operator and is located in Imperial, PA. The Plant Operator performs all functions for safely operating a Renewable Natural Gas Facility. This position shares accountability for the day‑to‑day operations of the site. The goals of this position are to maximize production and minimize downtime with the utmost regard to safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance. Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the RNG plant, including monitoring plant systems, performing maintenance, and ensuring the final product meets quality standards for pipeline injection. Safety: reviewing LOTO; reviewing JHAs; bringing safety concerns to upper management. Environmental: monthly reporting; monitoring composition of LFG to include H 2 S treatment and media sampling; reviewing compliance procedures and ensuring compliance. Coordinating maintenance tasks with management and operators. Working with third‑party vendors to ensure timely and efficient service. Responding to callouts and assisting during outages. Tuning and adjusting the plant to meet production and efficiency needs. Inventory management and preventative maintenance program. Operating, adjusting, and repairing equipment required to maximize gas plant production in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. removal, and compression equipment. Maintaining detailed records on production data, equipment operational hours, and service schedules, including equipment outages. Checking all operating equipment daily (flow meters, gas chromatographs, fluid levels, pressure and temperature readings, and unusual noises) to correct conditions before failure occurs. Performing all maintenance and repairs on the operating equipment, including oil and filter changes, replacement of drive belts, hoses, valve adjustments, replacement of compressor filters, slide valves, couplings and bearings as necessary. Participation in preventative maintenance outages and overhauls. Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in and around the plant; keeping equipment, plant grounds, and floors presentable. Keeping all on‑site parts and supplies stocked and organized; maintaining plant inventory. Responding to callouts in a timely manner, identifying and correcting the cause. If the problem cannot be corrected, the lead operator contacts the plant manager for assistance. Operating the plant with a clear focus on safety: cleaning up spills immediately; ensuring all lighting systems are functional; eliminating slip, trip, electrical, and mechanical hazards promptly; affirming that all plant visitors, mechanics, and outside contractors follow safe work practices. Qualifications and Skills

Landfill gas experience or gas compression and treatment. Refined and high‑level troubleshooting abilities. Computer skills (Microsoft Office, SCADA). Good mechanical skills. Basic electrical knowledge preferred. Self‑motivated and capable of performing most tasks with little or no supervision. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving through SCADA and manuals. Working knowledge of pressure, vacuum, and flow. Experience with pumps, blowers, or air compressors. Heavy equipment operations experience preferred (gas turbine & gas compressor O&M). Fabrication and basic process knowledge. Current and valid driver’s license without restrictions. Work Hours and Arrangements

Operators are scheduled 40–50 hrs. per week based on operational need, plant performance, and available staffing. Some examples of plant schedules are 5‑8s, 4‑10s, 2 on and 2 off 12s. Operators are required to occasionally work night shifts and weekends and participate in rolling callin schedules that require 24/7 availability during that 7‑day period. Physical Requirements

Position requires physical effort such as driving a motorized vehicle, operating an ATV, using hand tools, and typing on a computer. It requires moderate lifting (10–50 lbs), occasional walking on irregular surfaces, and occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching. It also requires the use of hands and arms to operate/examine gas meters, flow meters, hand tools, power tools, bridge and jib cranes, and test/diagnostic equipment. Job Type

Full‑time Pay

The range for this role is anticipated to be $30.00–$35.00 hourly with bonus for eligible positions. Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
