We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our corporate tax team. This role will provide broad exposure to corporate tax, with a focus on tax provision, compliance, and U.S. international tax planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate tax concepts, excellent analytical skills, and an eagerness to grow within a dynamic global tax environment.
What You’ll Do
Provision
Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
Support deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, and return-to-provision adjustments
Prepare supporting workpapers and reconciliations for provision disclosures
Compliance
Assist in preparation and review of federal, state, and international income tax returns
Gather and analyze data from various departments to support tax compliance filings
Maintain tax compliance calendars and ensure deadlines are met
Support responses to IRS, state, and foreign tax authority notices
U.S. International Tax Planning
Assist with calculations and modeling related to GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, and foreign tax credits
Help analyze cross-border transactions, earnings repatriation, and transfer pricing impacts
Support international tax planning projects, including entity structuring, financing, and cash repatriation strategies
Monitor legislative changes and assess potential impacts to the company’s international tax position
Protect the security and privacy of Absolute and its customers
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA / Master’s in Taxation a plus)
5–7 years of experience in corporate tax, preferably in a public accounting firm or multinational corporation
Foundational knowledge of U.S. corporate tax and international tax concepts (GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits)
Familiarity with ASC 740 and income tax provision processes
Strong Excel skills; experience with tax compliance or provision software a plus
Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The pay range The base pay range for this position is from USD $130,000-$140,000 annually; the base pay offered is determined by the market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program.
