Dobbs Equipment is seeking an experienced Product Support Sales Rep (PSSR). The candidate will be a visible, active, and recognized customer support leader within their area of responsibility (AOR), aggressively pursuing product support business opportunities with existing and new customers to help the company achieve monthly product support revenue and profitability objectives.
Key Competencies
Sell shop and field labor jobs to Deere and All Makes customers
Develop and promote preventative maintenance agreements
Offer undercarriage and ground engaging tools
Execute strategic parts promotions outlined in the Dobbs Equipment Calendar
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Dobbs Equipment Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Call on all customers (current and new) in the assigned territory according to agreed call frequency.
Maintain up‑to‑date records in the Dobbs Equipment database, including customer unit fleet details.
Monitor local customer and competitive trends; recommend actions to management.
Ensure customer satisfaction, addressing disputes promptly per company policies.
Staff the parts counter as scheduled and encourage customers to use the counter for routine parts orders.
Maintain strong expense controls while performing required job functions.
Educate and train customers on the Dobbs Customer Portal.
Assist in the collection of accounts receivable when requested.
Adhere to all safety policies, for both Dobbs equipment and client environments.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license
Customer service experience
Education, Skill, And/or Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (three years related experience) or a combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong communication skills with teammates and customers.
Strong problem‑solving abilities.Self‑management and motivation.
PC literacy; proficient with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
Ability to apply common sense and follow written or oral instructions.
Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Quick learner with creative thinking.
Extensive driving and overnight travel required.
Bilingual a plus.
Work Environment The work environment may include wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather. The noise level is usually quiet.
Physical Demands
Regular standing, hand use, reaching, and speaking.
Frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Occasional sitting.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Close and color vision required.
