Associate Consultant | US MEPF Engineering Overview A respected employee-owned engineering consultancy is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to help lead mechanical design efforts and grow the firm’s presence in the Denver, Colorado market. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, strong career-development opportunities, and the chance to work closely with industry-leading engineers on high-performance, design-driven projects. The ideal candidate is a proven technical and team leader with deep MEP consulting experience.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will assist the mechanical discipline work across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
Engage and collaborate with mechanical and multi-discipline design teams.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, owners, and other clients.
Design HVAC systems, including system selection, engineering calculations, specifications, and drawing development.
Provide mentorship and direction to mechanical design staff.
Conduct construction administration tasks such as site visits, RFI responses, and submittal reviews.
Ensure high-quality communication and service delivery to both internal teams and external clients.
Support firm wide initiatives and uphold company values in day-to-day work.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
5+ years of MEP design or consulting experience.
Understanding of building codes and mechanical system design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent experience.
Hybrid (2 days in office per week).
