We are seeking an experienced operator to manage heavy equipment across grading, excavation, and utility installation projects.
Job Summary As a Dozer Operator, you will play a crucial role in construction and site development projects, operating heavy equipment to execute grading, excavation, and utility installation tasks.
You will collaborate with project teams and uphold safety regulations to ensure efficient project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Operate bulldozers and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as grading, leveling, trenching, and excavating on construction and development sites.
Follow project plans, blueprints, and verbal instructions to accurately carry out grading and utility installation activities.
Collaborate with the project team, including supervisors, surveyors, and fellow equipment operators, to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and other site personnel.
Complete daily equipment inspection reports and maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Continuously monitor equipment performance and report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team.
Operate equipment in a responsible and cost-effective manner to minimize fuel and material consumption.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a bulldozer operator, specifically in grading, excavation, and utility projects.
Strong understanding of construction and grading techniques, as well as the ability to interpret blueprints and project plans.
Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with project supervisors and colleagues.
High focus on safety and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Physical stamina to withstand long hours of sitting and operating heavy equipment in various weather conditions.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
