Digital Specialist
Job Summary
The Digital Specialist is responsible for assisting with the day‑to‑day operations of Erlanger’s digital platforms. The focus includes content implementation, landing page creation, and ongoing maintenance of web‑based assets. The role supports marketing campaigns, digital infrastructure improvements, and user experience enhancements by ensuring the right content is presented in the right way across the right platforms.
In this collaborative position, the Digital Specialist works closely with the Digital & Web Strategy team, Content Manager, and Marketing Strategists to implement content and improve digital outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Website and Landing Page Management
Implement web content updates, page edits, and structural changes using Erlanger's CMS (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
Create and manage custom landing pages for marketing campaigns, events, or digital advertisements in partnership with strategists and designers.
Maintain internal links, forms, directories, and embedded tools across key pages.
Digital Campaign Support
Assist in the digital setup and technical execution of service line and brand campaigns, including asset placement, UTM tracking, and basic performance monitoring.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Digital teams to meet campaign timelines and ensure digital deliverables are implemented correctly.
Coordinate file uploads, redirects, and page performance testing across campaigns.
Maintenance and Optimization
Audit websites and microsites for broken links, outdated content, formatting issues, and user experience problems.
Help implement SEO best practices, including meta tags, alt text, keyword integration, and mobile responsiveness improvements.
Provide technical QA for published content and troubleshoot platform display issues.
Cross‑Functional Support
Collaborate with the Content Manager and Production Specialist to ensure timely implementation of copy and design elements.
Support Creative and Communications teams by embedding video, press content, or patient stories into relevant web areas.
Work with the Digital Engagement Manager to coordinate technical vendor support or internal IT collaboration when needed.
Education & Experience
Required: Bachelor's degree in digital media, Web Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, web content management, or technical website support.
Experience using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and basic HTML/CSS knowledge preferred.
Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO fundamentals, and UTM campaign tracking.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or highly matrixed organizations a plus.
