What You’ll Be Doing

Meet with current and prospective customers to build relationships, demonstrate and explain product features and benefits, present new retail program offerings, provide samples, and procure orders. (50%)

Build, maintain, and reset customer product displays as needed, including literature and signage. (25%)

Support territory initiatives to ensure alignment with company and territory goals. (10%)

Promote Simpson Strong‑Tie as an industry partner and potential employer; participate in trade shows, association meetings, etc. (10%)

Other duties: CRM management, scheduling, business planning, expense reports, vehicle maintenance, and other tasks directed by manager. (5%)

Desired Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

1–2 years of industry experience and/or training. Working knowledge of residential construction practices and distribution channels preferred. Sales and account management experience with a proven track record of sales/profit growth preferred.

Technical: Ability to gain product knowledge to become a trusted resource for Simpson Products and solutions and to work with Specialists to provide support as needed.

Presentation Skills: Ability to develop and present captivating presentations and use sales skills to guide prospects through a story.

Creative & Innovative Thinking: Exhibit creativity and innovation when contributing to organizational and individual objectives.

Decision Making & Judgement: Balance analysis, wisdom, experience, and perspective when making decisions.

Accountability & Dependability: Fulfill all commitments made to peers, co‑workers, and supervisor.

Computer/Software/Technology: Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer effectively.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Physical requirements: Stand, walk, sit, see, talk, and hear frequently. Occasionally push or lift up to 50 lbs.

Work environment: Operates in a professional office environment, customer sites, and outdoor construction job sites. Uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners. Noise level may be loud at times.

Travel Required Up to 50% domestic travel. Overnight stays within the territory up to 5–7 nights a month. Dealer Sales Representative will be driving within the territory weekly. Occasional flight travel is also required.

Work Status & Location This full‑time, exempt position is located in Jacksonville, FL, with consideration to surrounding areas.

Pay $62,200 – $75,500 per year.
