Residential Roofing Superintendent – Steep-Slope Projects

About the Role We are hiring a
Residential Steep-Slope Roofing Superintendent
to lead field operations for our growing roofing division in the Pompano Beach/MIA market. You will be responsible for overseeing daily project execution, managing crews, enforcing safety standards, and delivering high-quality roofing installations on time and within budget.

What You’ll Do Crew Leadership & Management
Lead and supervise roofers, laborers, and subcontractors
Assign tasks based on project scope and crew skill level
Provide clear instructions, coaching, and performance feedback
Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional development
Quality Control
Maintain high-quality workmanship standards on all steep‑slope installations
Conduct inspections throughout the project lifecycle
Address deficiencies quickly and document corrective actions
Partner with suppliers to ensure proper materials and equipment
Schedule, Materials & Equipment
Perform daily job runs and monitor project status
Maintain a
2‑week look‑ahead schedule
Manage material orders, deliveries, and audits
Oversee inspections and ensure all required inspections are passed
Conduct weekly vehicle inspections; ensure crews have proper equipment and safety gear
Safety Oversight
Enforce all OSHA and company safety policies
Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site audits
Identify hazards and correct them promptly
Document and report any incidents or near misses
Customer & Client Service
Communicate with homeowners and field personnel daily or weekly
Return all calls and emails within
2–4 hours
Meet with project supervisors on‑site to review progress
Payroll, Job Costing & Budget
Approve dispatches after work is completed and inspected
Log all dispatches into Excel for payroll and job costing
Maintain labor and material usage within budget targets
On-Call Requirements
Typical schedule:
M–F, 6:00 AM until close
Saturday dispatch rotation and weekend on‑call (every 3–6 weeks)
Dispatch crews on Saturdays between 6–8 AM when on‑call
Compliance
Ensure compliance with:
OSHA safety regulations
Workers’ Compensation requirements
DOT regulations
Company policies and safety plans
Perform other duties as assigned by management
What You Bring
2–3+ years experience as a Superintendent for residential/commercial roofing
Knowledge of steep‑slope systems and the ability to troubleshoot leaks
Ability to train crews and enforce safety policies
Strong communication, leadership, and organization skills
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and basic computer use
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
OSHA 30 (or willingness to complete within 90 days)
Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions
Ability to read blueprints and understand roofing assemblies
Knowledge of repairs, maintenance programs, and steep‑slope roof details
