Casey Auto Group is seeking a Title Clerk to join our Accounting Department!
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the legal transfer of documentation for all retail and wholesale vehicle transactions, ensuring strict compliance with all Department of Motor Vehicles regulations for our assigned stores.
Essential Duties The Title Clerk is responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to our operations, including:
Processing new and used vehicle sales for registration in the appropriate state.
Maintaining and updating daily reports on outstanding title work, wholesale receivables, and lien payoffs.
Reporting the status of missing or problem titles to the Title Supervisor weekly using the DMV Problem List.
Assigning titles and processing payments for all wholesale deals.
Posting daily bundles and journal entries as necessary to reconcile the DMV payable schedule.
Managing inventory of license plates and stickers for online vehicle registrations.
Preparing required documentation and titles for vehicles designated for auction, and collecting corresponding payments.
Conducting monthly title audits to ensure all Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) and titles are accounted for and correctly assigned for every vehicle in inventory.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Experience:
A minimum of one year of general office experience is required. Prior automotive accounting experience is preferred.
Clerical Skills:
Proven ability to read and comprehend instructions and information, along with the ability to type at least
50 words per minute.
Core Competencies:
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, demonstrating strong attention to detail and organizational skill.

Compensation & Schedule
Pay range:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Weekly paychecks.
