Diesel Mechanic
Speed Global Services is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform general maintenance and repairs on a fleet of tractor trailers in Buffalo, NY. Responsibilities
Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests. Complete preventive maintenance schedules and component upgrades to keep equipment available for use. Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, assembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and components. Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems. Maintain vehicle appearance through cleaning, washing, and painting. Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs. Operate shop equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, and perform preventive maintenance. Use warranty and evaluate service and parts options to contain costs. Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and reading technical publications. Enhance maintenance department reputation by accepting ownership of new requests and adding value to job accomplishments. Qualifications
Vocational or Technical Degree in Vehicle Maintenance preferred. CDL license a plus. 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred. New York State Inspection License preferred. Pay
$30.00–$35.00 per hour, DOE. Benefits
