The Export Specialist must have technical expertise and in-depth knowledge in all aspects of export management. The Specialist supports Richemont North America, Inc. export activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The role resolves export issues, collaborates with Richemont divisions, customs brokers, 3PLs, and government officials, and analyzes U.S. import and export regulations.

Responsibilities

Support daily outbound operations for Richemont North America, Inc.

Prepare daily export shipments to countries including Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Work closely with customs brokers to secure timely releases from U.S. Customs and partner government agencies.

Verify shipment documentation for valuation, classification, country of origin, OGA/PGA requirements and record retention.

Audit export shipments maintained in the SharePoint document control system.

Designate Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) for exporting materials.

Liaise with shippers, consignees, 3PLs, brokers and overseas offices.

Perform special tasks related to export operations as assigned.

Qualifications

1 or more years of export experience.

Understanding of U.S. import/export regulations including CBP, FWS, FDA, USDA and BIS.

Functional knowledge of import/export processes, controls, and documentation.

Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS).

Understanding of documentation requirements, Incoterms and modes of transport.

Functional knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Access and SAP (preferred).

Thorough understanding of export filing requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SAP knowledge a plus.

ACE Direct EEI filing and reporting a plus.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Detail‑ and quality‑oriented with strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Strong organization skills and ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment.

Promotes and maintains productive relationships with internal and external partners.

Overall enthusiasm for departmental success.

Education

High School diploma.

Some college preferred, not required.

Dangerous Goods Certification a plus.
