Base pay range $14.00/hr - $14.00/hr
Summary/Objective: Provide various services such as wheelchair, security and porter services; exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills; ensure the safety of property and people.
Essential Functions
Maintain constant communication with the supervisor on duty; review daily staffing and assignments.
Provide wheelchair transportation: escort wheelchair to the assigned door, wait for passenger, ensure all security procedures are followed, escort passenger through customs and baggage claim to the curb only, never beyond the parking lot, return wheelchair to its initial position, and report completion to the supervisor.
Provide security in designated station areas.
Checkpoint duties: greet passengers in line, verify boarding passes, check correct city, priority class, flight time, and gate; verify baggage allowance; ensure passengers and airport employees present valid ID.
Bag room security: verify stickers on bags, remove sticker and record on control sheet, place bags on cart, ensure all bags are accounted for.
Assigned gate security: enter secure jet bridge area with ID, monitor both doors to prevent unauthorized entry; complete cleaner count form, record airplane arrival and pushback times.
Ramp security: receive and count baggage cart, verify no questionable items, ensure no non‑ramp personnel across the airplane perimeter.
Porter duties: stand behind the airline counter, weigh bags, add bag tags, place bags onto the baggage belt, confirm no bags left at the counter.
Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities.

Very active role; standing or walking for entire shift on tile, concrete, or carpet.

Days and hours vary from Monday through Sunday; service 24/7.
Travel
No travel expected.
Qualifications & Eligibility
High school diploma or GED required.
Exceptional written and verbal customer service and communication skills.
Successful completion of a background investigation and a post‑offer/pre‑employment drug/alcohol test.
Proficiency in English and/or Spanish.
Maintain a relationship with employees and clients.
Effective interpersonal skills for dealing with all personnel and the general public.
Use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
Understanding of operating and airport procedures and instructions.
Ability to handle high volume of general public under pressure.
Eligibility for CBP seal and clearance to obtain airport ID.
