Position: Pre-Approval Specialist (PAL Specialist) [This is the first position in our training program] Location:
Must be onsite in Charlotte, NC - may need to work PST hours from 8 am to 5 pm for the first 3 months due to training purposes. Position Summary:
The Pre-Approval Specialist (PAL Specialist) works with the Inside Loan Agent Division, assisting licensed Purchase Loan Officers by communicating with customers regarding initial interest in obtaining a pre-approval or new home mortgage loan. Responsibilities include gathering information, providing updates, and ensuring a high level of customer service to facilitate the loan origination process. Responsibilities
Assist customers and licensed Purchase Loan Officers with gathering loan information and documentation for pre-approval. Communicate effectively with customers via email, phone, and text/SMS. Educate customers and Loan Officers about next steps in the pre-approval process. Follow up on conditional items needed to complete pre-approval. Set realistic expectations to maximize customer satisfaction. Input data into the system related to mortgage loan information. Manage customer files based on their interest and ability to proceed. Follow up with previously pre-approved customers to offer further assistance. Assist with completing eConsent and eSign processes. Review credit reports to determine loan qualification or referral needs. Qualifications
Previous or current call center, customer service, or sales experience. Proficiency in communicating over the phone and email. Knowledge of mortgage loan processes. Outgoing, energetic, hardworking, and eager to learn. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Passionate about helping customers achieve financial goals. Desired Education/Experience
2+ years in office or inside customer service/call center preferred. 1+ years in mortgage or real estate industry preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Must have passed NMLS exam. Other Details
This role may include additional duties as assigned. Physical demands include lifting up to ten pounds, working in an office environment, and communicating verbally and in writing.
