Benefits:

Flexible schedule

About the Opportunity House Doctors of Scottsdale is a growing handyman and home-repair company seeking an experienced

licensed contractor

to partner with us as our

Qualifying Party (QP)

with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.

This is a flexible, part-time

independent contractor

role with the potential to grow into a larger engagement over time. You’ll provide license oversight and technical guidance, and you can also take on billable repair and small project work if desired. We handle the marketing, scheduling, and billing—you focus on trade expertise, oversight, and customer experience.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the

Qualifying Party (QP)

on our Arizona ROC license (KB-1 / B or equivalent classification).

Provide

oversight and guidance

on scopes of work, job planning, and compliance with ROC requirements and applicable codes.

Be available for

periodic consultation

on more complex projects, estimates, and job reviews.

Help define and maintain

quality standards

for our residential and light commercial work.

Optionally perform

hands‑on field work

(repairs, installations, small projects) as your time and interest allow.

Collaborate with the owner when any

license‑ or ROC‑related issues

arise.

Note:

This is a true working/oversight role—not a “license rental” situation. You will be actively engaged in supervising work performed under the license.

Compensation

Independent contractor (1099) arrangement.

Compensation structure will reflect:

Your

ongoing oversight/QP responsibilities , and

Any

billable field work

you choose to perform.

Exact rates and structure will be discussed based on your experience, license status, and desired level of involvement, with room for

growth over time

as the business scales.

(We are open to evolving the relationship structure over time, including increased responsibility and compensation, as we grow together.)

Who We’re Looking For

Experienced licensed contractor with strong background in

residential and/or light commercial building, remodeling, or repair .

Someone who takes pride in

craftsmanship, professionalism, and communication .

Comfortable being the

responsible party

on the license and partnering closely with the business owner.

Interested in a long‑term relationship where your role and earnings can grow as the company grows.

Requirements

Current or prior

Arizona ROC license

at a general building / KB-1 / B level or equivalent qualifications to obtain that license.

Not currently serving as Qualifying Party (QP) on another unrelated active AZ ROC license , or willing to:

Transition off that license as QP, or

Restructure in a way that complies with ROC requirements.

Clean, professional history (no major unresolved ROC discipline).

Ability to pass a

background check .

Reliable vehicle and tools appropriate for the level of field work you’d like to perform.

Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for scheduling and communication (ServiceTitan or similar systems).

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years

of experience in residential building, remodeling, or handyman work.

Prior experience supervising other techs or subs.

Broad skills across carpentry, drywall, painting, light plumbing/electrical, and installations.

Prior experience as a

Qualifying Party / RME / responsible managing individual

is a plus.

ROC license classification(s)

and status, if applicable.

currently listed as a Qualifying Party
