Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with daily operations of the Grant Office and Office of Institutional Advancement under the guidance of the Grants Manager.
Write and submit grant proposals, fulfill required reports and analyses, and support the management of the institutional grants process from development to closeout.
Research funding sources, global and national trends, best practices, and relevant issues to support grant development.
Identify potential corporate, foundation, federal, and state funders and grant opportunities that align with college strategies.
Coordinate, write, and edit proposal narratives and reports to meet funder guidelines.
Develop and maintain an efficient office production schedule, including coordination of the submission of grant applications, agreements, and reports.
Maintain an accurate database of proposal development activities and project files.
Communicate with program officers of funding agencies, external partners, and other funding organizations to facilitate grant development and management.
Stay informed on legislative and policy decisions that may impact grant funding.
Attend internal and external meetings related to Grants and Institutional Advancement activities and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (or combination of education and experience) in Education, Social Sciences, Management, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
Preferred: Advanced degree in Education, Social Sciences, Management, Project Management, Communications, or related area.
One to three (1–3) years of demonstrated comprehensive experience and knowledge of grant development/management processes.
One year of experience in grant development in post‑secondary institutions or foundation/non‑profit departments is preferred.
Evidence of well‑developed research, communication, critical thinking, and project management skills.
Ability to prioritize, implement, and follow through with multiple deadline‑driven tasks accurately and timely.
