CAD Technician . The applicant must be responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented, interested in joining our Site/Civil department in our
Danville, VA
office. The role involves working with engineers, project managers, and other professionals. Remote work is possible. The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, coordinate daily with key staff, and assist on multiple project designs. Responsibilities focus on design and plan set preparation for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects, including grading, pipe networks, alignments, profiles, sections, and redline drafting for various design stages. Provide drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining AutoCAD Civil 3D engineering drawings for permit-ready plans. Prepare designs from general instructions, sketches, diagrams, or schematics. Create working drawings from conceptual, development, and final engineering plans, as well as construction records. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, administrative staff, and construction teams. Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in land development projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for creating surfaces, alignments, and profiles. Willingness to support various projects and collaborate with multiple project managers. Strong interest in Civil Engineering phases such as land development, utilities, water resources, and construction. High attention to detail, with good organizational and time management skills.
