This recruitment will be for a hiring list only. This position involves rotating shifts including days, nights, and weekends. Expect a high call volume and a fast-paced environment typical of a City of Grants Pass Police Officer. Base Salary:
$70,575 to $95,776 annually Incentive Pay: Associate Degree 2.5% Second language 1.25% DPSST Intermediate Certificate 2.5% DPSST Advanced Certificate 3.0% Note:
Associate and Bachelor's Degrees are not cumulative. Benefits:
Excellent medical, prescription, vision, and dental coverage with premium cost sharing between the City and employee. Provided by the City: Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance equal to annual salary Long-term disability insurance Health Reimbursement Account (HRA-VEBA) with a monthly contribution of $234 Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. here . Must be 21 years of age at the time of hire. Valid driver's license; ability to obtain an Oregon Class C Driver's License within 30 days of employment. DPSST Basic Police Certificate within 12 months of employment. Law Enforcement Data System Certificate within 60 days of assignment. Residency requirement: Candidates must reside within forty-five (45) minutes from City limits within the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB).
Candidates must pass the ORPAT (physical ability test) and firearms requirements prior to graduation from the Oregon DPSST Police Academy. Department Overview:
