Junior Sous Chef
to our culinary team at Pyramid Global Hospitality, located in South Yarmouth, MA. Join a high-energy team at a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Hotel on Cape Cod with multiple properties and a commitment to culinary excellence and guest satisfaction. What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do
Open year round, the Inn is a five-minute stroll from Chatham’s Main Street. The Junior Sous Chef will assist in the food preparation for the tavern at the hotel and ensure product quality and service standards are met to provide optimum dining for hotel guests. Responsibilities include cooking meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products, preparing and portioning food prior to cooking, final plate preparation and presentation, plating and garnishing, and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu items. Assist in food preparation for the tavern at the hotel. Ensure product quality and service standards are met for guests. Cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products accurately and efficiently. Prepare and portion food prior to cooking; perform final plating and presentation. Plate and garnish cooked items; prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu items. Support other kitchen duties as needed to maintain smooth service. Qualifications
Be familiar with basic and advanced cooking methods. Must be able to work long hours including weekends and holidays. 3+ years of experience as a cook in a high-volume professional kitchen. Basic allergy knowledge; full knowledge of correct cooking temperatures for vegetables and proteins. Provide necessary cutting tools and a calibrated food-grade thermometer. Knowledge of state health codes and food safety regulations. Active Food Handler’s certification. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds. Must be at least 21 years of age. Desire to exceed expectations; energetic personality. Compensation and Benefits
