Join our team as a Supported Employment Specialist (ES) and be part of a transformative, evidence‑based program that changes lives through competitive job placement and support.
What You’ll Do
Build trusting relationships focused on achieving competitive employment
Develop personalized career assessments and employment plans
Assist with resume writing, interview prep, and job development
Conduct in‑person employer outreach (minimum of 6 contacts weekly)
Place at least 10 individuals into jobs annually (after your first year)
Offer on‑the‑job support and follow‑up to ensure long‑term success
Collaborate with mental health treatment teams and Vocational Rehabilitation
Provide education and guidance to individuals and their families
Help clients navigate disclosure of mental health status and benefits planning
Spend 65% of your time out in the community, meeting employers and clients
Deliver services using the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model
Minimum Requirements
Undergraduate degree or equivalent education/experience
Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in computer use and electronic health records (EHR)
Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must complete agency‑sponsored defensive driving and required trainings
Ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Strong team player with a commitment to recovery‑oriented, client‑centered care
Work Environment
Based in both clinic and community settings
Services provided in‑person, by phone, and via telehealth
Occasional evening or weekend hours based on client and program needs
Active, hands‑on role — you’ll be out in the field making real connections
