Job Summary TravelCenters of America offers a convenient, one‑stop shopping experience. The Deli Clerk is a key team member who assists guests at the deli counter, recommends foods, cuts meats and cheeses, and more, ensuring every traveler leaves better than they arrived.

Responsibilities

Work in a fun, customer‑focused environment.

Serve customers courteously, quickly, and with a positive attitude.

Slice meats and cheeses, take inventory, and promote deli products.

Process transactions using a point‑of‑sale (POS) register.

Clean and prepare workstations, follow safety guidelines, and report unsafe situations.

Update displays, cases, and other customer‑facing areas to showcase new items and promotions.

Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co‑workers.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to join our team.

Prior Deli Clerk experience preferred, but not required.

Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred.

Cash handling skills preferred.

Good verbal communication skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Pay Range $15.00 - 16.00 per hour. The pay range reflects potential compensation based on responsibilities, duties, and experience.

Typical Physical Demands Required to talk and hear, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
