RECEIVING SPECIALIST (STARSHIP) RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate with requestors to prioritize shipment of items and provide tracking as needed

Purchase items including: supplies, warranties, repairs, hardware, perishables, and services

Meet delivery dates on purchase orders to ensure the closure of open purchase orders upon receipt

Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork. Check for damage and confirm correct part numbers, quantities and revisions

Receive all materials/packages and transact receipt in the ERP/WARP receiving system

Coordinate non‑flight inventory transfers between sites

Acknowledge and take receipt of all incoming materials and packages, identify receipt in ERP/Warp then transport to receiving inspection, stockroom or identified buyer/requestor

Count material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and post totals to non‑flight inventory records

Affix verification and traceability on required serialized parts before issuing

Organize controlled‑inventory storage systems and locations, and make improvements to material flow and footprint

Transport work‑in‑process material between work centers

Help other disciplines in the logistics department when needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

2+ years of experience in shipping and receiving

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Associate degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field

Experience coordinating with multiple departments in support of purchase order placement

Experience working with suppliers and developing supplier relationships

Strong understanding of shelf‑life storage and proper rotation of stock

Windows operating systems; intermediate level

Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), intermediate level

Familiar with use for variety of material handling and inventory control equipment, carts, palette jacks, scanners, printers, forklifts, etc.

Basic understanding of the safe use of hand tools

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Available for at least one of the following shifts:

1st shift: 6 AM to 4:30 PM

3rd shift: 6 PM to 4:30 AM

Occasionally exposed to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted

Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body

Ability to climb ladders/lifts at elevated heights

Ability to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines

ITAR REQUIREMENTS
