Banquet Server
Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Banquet Server for the Marriott in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Base pay range $14.90/hr – $17.00/hr
Job Purpose Service, set-up and break down assigned functions in a safe, accident‑free manner. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.
Responsibilities
Maintain clean, wrinkle‑free uniform, name tag, and proper grooming.
Read BEOs and understand required equipment for each function.
Set tables and buffet stations correctly and uniformly.
Keep buffet stations neat and clean while serving guests per established policies and procedures.
Execute proper in‑room clearing, aisle tray break‑down, and special food service tables and equipment.
Assist Banquet Captain with set‑up and break down of buffet or special food service tables.
Greet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.
Complete assigned paperwork per event or function.
Perform all side work during and after events.
When servers have downtime, organize and stock all products used or help prepare for next day’s events.
Return all equipment to the proper area, wipe down, and keep neat in banquet areas.
Properly dispose of all served buffet food.
Coordinate with Chef for handling leftover plated and buffet style food after events.
Label, date, and store all saved food properly.
Return unused equipment to designated storage areas.
Keep banquet areas neat, clean, and ready for next day’s business.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 6 months experience in high‑volume restaurant or banquet services.
Preferred experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
Physical Demands
Knowledge of catering and food profession for non‑repetitive analytical work.
Knowledge of policies and procedures and ability to determine appropriate actions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Moderate hearing, vision, and speech communication skills.
Moderate comprehension and literacy to read and understand BEO requests.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy production items (e.g., food, small equipment) ~75% of time.
Occasional bending when using lower oven for cooking (5–10 times daily).
Full mobility and ability to travel 30–50 feet regularly throughout the day.
Can stand during preparations or plate‑ups for up to an hour at a time, typically 3–5 times a day.
