Join Our Culinary Team at Kassi, the exciting new rooftop restaurant at Hotel Erwin, seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef.
About The Role As a Sous Chef at Kassi, you’ll be instrumental in leading back‑of‑house operations. You’ll ensure smooth daily service, uphold quality and safety, and help craft a vibrant menu that transports guests to a Mediterranean escape.
Responsibilities
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure seamless, efficient service
Uphold exceptional standards of food preparation, safety, and sanitation
Oversee daily kitchen operations including scheduling, inventory, and purchasing
Collaborate on menu development and contribute new, creative dishes
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Partner with the front‑of‑house team to deliver an outstanding guest experience
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, coordinating repairs as needed
Qualifications
2-3 years of culinary leadership experience in a high‑volume kitchen
Strong skills in menu planning, kitchen operations, and team leadership
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment
Food Handling Certificate and completion of in‑house Sous Chef training (or equivalent)
Proficiency with kitchen technology, POS systems, and inventory management
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
