Since 1970, Hale Kipa has championed Hawai'i's youth and children. We provide youth outreach, independent living facilities, therapeutic foster care, a haven for runaways, and more. Our founders recognized a need for a nonprofit to step in to assist this deserving population and we are still doing that critical work today, on O'ahu, Kaua'i, and the Island of Hawai'i.
Role Overview An Outreach Case Worker is to provide a comprehensive, client-centered, goal-oriented process for assessing the need of a young person for particular services, assisting them to obtain and complete those services, and at a systems level, coordinating the provisions of services with community resources available to the young person. The individual in this position will conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that upholds the integrity and reputation of Hale Kipa, maintaining a thorough working knowledge of and adherence to organizational policies, regulations, and procedures.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.
At least one year of experience working with youth/young adults is essential.
Requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in navigating electronic health record systems.
Consistent and timely documentation.
A valid driver's license.
Current auto insurance & safety check required.
Access to a vehicle for the purpose of transporting young adults.
