Responsible for underwriting, business development, producer management and underwriting compliance of E&S Casualty in the Western Region. Underwrite both primary and excess layers; segments include Specialty, Construction, and Energy. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Develop strong relationships with wholesale producers to successfully manage regional business. Monitor, influence, and consistently execute departmental underwriting strategies to develop and maintain a profitable book. Demonstrate strong performance‑management skills. Maintain a strong customer‑service focus. Apply strong problem‑solving and negotiation skills in both internal and external interactions. Monitor and influence submission management, timely quoting, account retentions, and thorough file compliance and documentation per Arch guidelines. Provide training and/or mentorship for junior members of the team. Required Skills and Abilities
Strong technical underwriting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effectively prioritize work with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education and Experience
Minimum of 8‑10 years of casualty experience, preferably within the wholesale marketplace and with both primary and excess layers. Bachelor's degree preferably in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management. Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $170,000 – $255,000 per year (incentive‑eligible). Total compensation will include base salary, short‑term and long‑term incentives.
