FAR Inspections, based in Reno, NV, is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn predictable income with a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required, but the ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines is essential. Occupancy verification involves: Verifying that a property is occupied. Reporting general condition of the property using a mobile application. Taking 9+ photos of the property with brief comments. Most inspections are exterior‑only; about 10% require interior photos after vacancy. Responsibilities

Complete inspections within 5‑6 minutes for the most common type. Finish inspection within 4 days after assignment. Determine occupancy based on industry standards and report general property conditions. Submit a short form in an app. Be able to spend extended periods driving with numerous stops throughout the day in the assigned territory. Requirements

Computer with internet connection. Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage a plus; you pay your own gas). Smartphone (Android or iPhone). Printer. Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license. Pay and Hours

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate that varies by county and volume, typically equivalent to $30–$40 per hour. Depending on the county (urban vs. rural), you may complete 20‑500 inspections per month, working 2‑30 hours per week. Lower‑volume counties have higher rates; higher‑volume counties have lower rates. No mileage reimbursement beyond the flat fee per inspection. Seniority Level
