Assistant Grower – Glass House Brands Inc. The Assistant Grower is responsible for assisting the Grower in the management of cannabis growing operations for Glass House Farms. This person is also responsible for the proper care of the greenhouse, including the principles and practices of cannabis cultivation, propagation, and pest and disease control as directed by the Head Grower.

Responsibilities

Execute the Grower’s plan according to the company’s production plan, following the type and timing of preparations, crop tending, and cleanup.

Remain alert for any potential safety risks or unknown entries.

Manage the growing environment for optimal plant growth through irrigation, temperature, climate, and pest & disease control systems in accordance with grower instructions.

Organize, direct, control, and/or coordinate activities of workers engaged in propagating, cultivating, and harvesting.

Train new team members in cultivation techniques, including irrigation and pest control, while communicating needed tasks with the labor crew.

Ensure all safety policies and strict crop growing practices are followed and enforced.

Assist the Grower in establishing and maintaining a program to record crop growth data (weekly crop report, climate report, maturation report, production, etc.).

Maintain strain and phenotype data to assist with cultivation decisions.

Coordinate planting activities with the Operations Department.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Grower.

Conduct quality evaluations on greenhouse work.

Troubleshoot greenhouse and irrigation issues.

Complete required training modules: Introduction Horticulture, Water‑Introduction, and subsequent Priva modules every six months.

Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends and nights as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Advanced, comprehensive knowledge of cannabis, including genetics and strain types.

In‑depth knowledge of large‑scale commercial cannabis cultivation, crop rotation management, nutrient requirements, grow mediums, light requirements, and environmental control.

Competency in using climate computer controls.

Knowledge of the entire cannabis growth cycle and requirements.

Ability to stay current on industry best practices and new techniques for individual strains, high‑yield recipes, controlled stress environments, and different lighting systems and setups.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical ability to work in greenhouse conditions with high humidity and varying temperatures, lift 15–50 pounds, climb ladders or step stools, crouch, grasp, and lift products above shoulders, and wear an N95 mask.

High School Diploma or GED; basic reading and writing skills required.

Minimum of 2 years of agriculture or equivalent experience.

Availability for travel as required by the company.
