Giant Food . Asset Protection Associates are responsible for the protection of the company's retail store assets by investigating the loss of asset(s) including merchandise, money and property. This role is responsible for preventing loss and shrink within their assigned stores through monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other LP tactics to include apprehending shoplifters. We are hiring for multiple districts throughout the MD, DC, and VA. Please check postings and apply for the area where you prefer to work. Responsibilities
Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents. Primary contact for safety and security issues for stores in area of responsibility. Tours stores daily to identify deficiencies and execute corrective action as necessary. Maintain awareness of high risk areas to reduce or control merchandise losses. Review shrink best practices and execute shrink reduction strategy drivers during store visits. Check areas such as rotation, backroom organization, and additional follow up areas assigned by supervision. Review shrink reports and assist in responding to issues and opportunities observed in assigned stores. Qualifications
High School Diploma Driver's License and transportation required; travel throughout multiple stores in a District and/or Region required Up to 1 year of related experience Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to various state and local jurisdictions Maintain strict confidentiality of all investigation-related information Basic Skills in MS Office About Giant
