Duties

Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection, including: Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions in the Washington, D.C. area. Traveling in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions. Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A. Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must: Be a U.S. citizen. Possess a valid U.S. driver's license. Be at least 20 and less than 37 years old, unless previously employed in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position. Carry and use a firearm, maintaining firearm proficiency. Meet specific visual and hearing requirements. Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random testing while occupied. Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at FLETC and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center. Certify registration with the Selective Service System, if applicable.
