Job Overview
We are a leading industrial mechanical, electrical, and civil construction services provider for the fossil and nuclear power, pulp and paper, chemical, mining, and general manufacturing industries. We provide a full range of industrial facilities maintenance and process maintenance services.
Job Summary Mechanics will install and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantle machines; move machinery and equipment.
Assemble and install machines and test them to ensure proper operation.
Work in full compliance with approved safety regulations.
Manage the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime.
Identify and repair problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.
Dismantle older machines and replace them with new ones.
Oversee preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces, and lubricating mechanical parts.
Use machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts.
Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines, and blowers.
Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner and keep work area clean and orderly.
Qualifications
Preferred: Five (5) years mechanical maintenance experience.
Physical Requirements / Job Site Requirements
Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign.
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions identified above.
Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
Must have full range of motion consistent with age.
Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises.
Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces.
Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
