{"id": "1xMCAxrrwkeC7MVl50QV48NFa-DQW0kZT", "title": "CITYWIDE PAID CANVASS MANAGER JD - Zohran for NYC (1).pdf", "mimeType": "application\/pdf"} CITYWIDE PAID CANVASS MANAGER Location: New York City, NY Position Type: Full-Time Position Overview: The Citywide Paid Canvass Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring and managing a team of paid canvassers for the campaign. This role will focus on building a strong group of dedicated door canvassers who will focus on voter contact throughout the city. The Paid Canvass Manager will work with the Field Director to design the paid program for the campaign that ensures the campaign will reach all the voters outside of the volunteer door-knocking plan. This individual should have a passion for building a multi-racial, working class movement around the campaign, comfort with campaign tools, spreadsheets, and the ability to lead and work with a diverse group of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: ● Developing a plan: Working with the Field Director to design a paid door canvass program plan that is complementary to our large volunteer door canvass strategy, taking into consideration the language needs of the voters we will reach. ● Recruitment: Recruit and hire paid canvassers who will be part of a strong paid canvass team, including identifying avenues of recruitment , interviewing possible candidates and moving them through the hiring process. ● Training: Build a training process for our paid canvass team, looking at ways to both onboard and train new canvassers as well as support them as they hone their canvassing skills. ● Goal Setting and Accountability: Work with the Field Director on setting daily and weekly paid canvass goals. Report and track daily contact goals with the rest of the team. ● Paid Canvass Coordination: Manage the entire paid canvass coordination process which will include working with the rest of the field team to ensure turf, talking points, scripts and other materials are shared and available to all paid canvassers. ● Problem Solving: Address logistical issues, manage resources effectively, and adapt plans as needed to meet campaign objectives. Be comfortable leading work in an uncertain and changing Qualifications: ● Experience in political organizing, canvassing, or field operations, preferably in a campaign setting. ● Prior supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable addressing conflict and tensions that can arise on campaigns. Must be patient and kind. ● Familiarity with voter contact tools and software, especially VAN. Must be comfortable learning new platforms and using google sheets. ● Access to reliable transportation is preferred. ● Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, as required during the campaign. ● Fluency in Bangla, Arabic, Mandarin, Mandarin or Hindi is a plus. ● Excellent cultural literacy among Muslim and/or South Asian New Yorkers. ● Familiarity with neighborhoods across New York City is a plus. ● Excited to be a part of a campaign and movement that is building collective power for the many and not the few. Compensation & Timeline: This is a full-time, exempt, salaried role at $6,666/month (equivalent to $80,000/year) plus health insurance.
