Group Overview
As part of the Chief Revenue Office, the Strategic Alliance Partnerships team is responsible for strategy and relationships with our largest and most strategic information provider partners. The group focuses on relationship management and revenue generation for key accounts and facilitates opportunities across our global network of partners spanning various industries. The mandate is to maximize revenue, mitigate risk, facilitate access to our content for our end customers, and support the creation and implementation of strategic division-wide and product-specific goals with these partners.
The Team
The Strategic Alliance Partnerships team, part of the Chief Revenue Office at S&P Global, is dedicated to driving strategic relationships with our most critical information provider partners. Position Summary
The Market Intelligence Strategic Alliance Partnership group has openings for account managers responsible for managing relationships on key strategic accounts. The successful candidate will oversee certain key partnership relationships, execute an account strategy, manage risks, and drive revenue growth. This role will work closely with the Chief Client Office, revenue organization, business lines, product managers, SMEs, and legal to identify and execute new opportunities. Depending on the remit, this role may be scoped at a G11, G12, G13, or G14.
Responsibilities and Impact
liaise with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, analyze white space and product knowledge to optimize partner engagement strategy;
achieve revenue retention and new business/revenue KPIs for the partner account and indirect customer relationships;
facilitate high-value transactions that deepen partner relationships and provide value for end customers accessing our content through partner platforms;
develop deep knowledge of S&P Global products and partner ecosystems to drive complex partner integration and identify new business opportunities;
penetrate partner organizations across functions and levels to establish, maintain, and develop key partner relationships, focusing on senior-level engagement to influence new opportunities;
contribute to the team’s operational and reporting framework requirements to drive overall team effectiveness;
manage and anticipate escalations around partner reporting and engagement to ensure compliance with license terms.
Basic Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Business, Finance, or a related field;
experience in managing strategic partnerships and complex deal structures, particularly in the financial services, fintech, or data industries;
proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with partners at senior and executive levels;
strong commercial and legal acumen, with expertise in partnership deal structuring and execution;
excellent communication, drafting, and presentation skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
experience with data and intellectual property licensing frameworks and arrangements;
demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment;
strong problem-solving skills related to managing complex third-party relationships;
experience working in team environments to drive towards common goals.
