Experienced Civil Construction Estimator

Storm Water Solutions, LLC . Our company is growing and seeking a motivated, experienced civil estimator to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation. This role is critical in helping the company win bids and maintain profitability by ensuring that all costs and project requirements are accounted for. Responsibilities Analyze project plans and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements Prepare and present bid packages and proposals in a timely and professional manner Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options Maintain and update a database of historical cost data and vendor pricing Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed Track and monitor awarded bids to ensure alignment with estimates Take initiative and ownership of client relationships, exercise independent judgment, demonstrate integrity, and work professionally with others Perform other duties as needed, in accordance with company policies and manager requests

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in civil construction estimating and construction experience Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel Proficiency in estimating software. Experience with HeavyBid software preferred but not required Understanding of construction means, methods, and cost structures Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently or as part of a team
Working Conditions
Primarily office-based with occasional site visits May require extended hours to meet project deadlines
